It's always good going to a new location. Exploring, searching for a pleasing composition. Hoping that you are able to come away with a keeper.  

What isn't always good are the conditions that greet you when you get there. As of late, sunrises in South East Queensland haven't been all that kind to me, with an endless supply of low, thick rain clouds on the horizon not letting the sun shine through. And so it was again this morning.

25 minutes before sunrise gave me the best colour of the morning, so 120 seconds and a bit of light painting with my phone later, this is what I came up with. My "catch of the day!"

Even though this trip out wasn't a major success, I'm sure that I'll return again in the winter months, when the sun has swung around a little further to the south.
